Deathless Legacy have tried and (in my opinion) fully managed to go beyond their own limits after two absolute masterpieces such as "Rituals of Black Magic" and "Saturnalia" with a double A Side 7" in which, thanks also to the collaboration with the vampire par excellence Steve Sylvester, soul and body of the founding entity of Horror Metal that bears the name Death SS, they have been able to reach considerable creative and dark peaks.
LEGION OF THE NIGHT is an immediate, dark, captivating piece, with an unforgettable refrain and capable of exploiting all the technical skills of the involved artists. Memorable is the horror-like and vampiric keyboard intro that leads first to the biting, evocative and unique voice of the Master and then to an always magical Steva, flawless, whose voice becomes more and more incredible album after album. The refrain is really inspired and made in a way to remain attached in listener's mind after just a few plays, while the guitar and keyboard solos in the final part are absolutely awesome.
YOUR BLOOD IS MINE has a more Speed Metal mood, the symphony always in a lead role, has the great advantage of filling and giving depth to an inspired sound. The alternation of the malignant voices of Steve and Steva gives that touch of uniqueness to the piece, all crowned by a refrain which, as in the previous track, will remain marked by fire into the soul. Still breathtaking guitar solos give the notes an deep incisiveness that I have never seen before while the whole band seems to move through difficult territories with an uncommon ease.
Worth to be mentioned the immense songwriting work by Frater Orion who creates something unique and unforgettable among the Italian Metal scene and which I believe will be difficult to be replicated. Let us remind you that the physical edition is strictly limited to 300 copies on transparent blood red vinyl and that the first 100 are part of a box set called "Become a Vampire Kit" containing everything you need to become a creature of the night. We have experienced the vampire's charm and we can't wait to go back into darkness! SSublime work!!!

I Deathless Legacy provano e (a mio parere) riescono ancora a superarsi dopo due capolavori assoluti come “Rituals of Black Magic” e “Saturnalia” con un doppio A Side 7” in cui, anche attraverso la collaborazione con il vampiro per eccellenza Steve Sylvester, anima e corpo dell’entità fondatrice dell’Horror Metal che porta il nome Death SS, vengono raggiunti picchi creativi e oscuri considerevoli.
LEGION OF THE NIGHT è un brano immediato, oscuro, accattivante, con un refrain indimenticabile e capace di sfruttare tutte le caratteristiche tecniche degli artisti coinvolti. Memorabile l’horrorifica e vampiresca intro di tastiera che fa da apripista prima alla graffiante, evocativa ed inconfondibile voce del Maestro e poi ad una Steva sempre magica, impeccabile, e la cui voce diventa sempre più incredibile uscita dopo uscita. Il ritornello è ispiratissimo e fatto apposta per non mollare più la mente dell’ascoltatore già dopo pochi ascolti mentre gli assoli di chitarra e tastiera nella parte finale sono da tramandare ai posteri.
YOUR BLOOD IS MINE ha un mood più Speed Metal, la sinfonia sempre presente in maniera importante ha il grande pregio di riempire e dare profondità ad un sound inspirato. L’alternarsi delle maligne voci di Steve e Steva da quel tocco di unicità al pezzo, il tutto coronato da un refrain che come nella traccia precedente resterà inciso a fuoco nell’anima. Ancora assoli di chitarra mozzafiato rendono alle note un’incendiaria incisività che non ho mai conosciuto prima mentre tutta la band sembra muoversi su territori difficili con una disinvoltura fuori dal comune.
Da menzionare l’immenso lavoro di scrittura di Frater Orion che crea qualcosa di unico e indimenticabile nel panorama Metal italiano e che credo faticherà ad essere replicato. Ricordiamo che l’edizione fisica è limitatissima a 300 copie in vinile rosso sangue trasparente e che le prime 100 fanno parte di un cofanetto denominato “Become a Vampire Kit” contenente tutto l’occorrente per poter divenire una creatura della notte. Noi il fascino del vampiro lo abbiamo subito e non vediamo l’ora di calarci nuovamente nelle tenebre! SSublimi!!!
