Love in Stereo sees the light in 2020, second full-length of the Florentine rockers Damn Freaks, a band that includes among its ranks Jacopo Meille, Tygers of Pan Tang’s voice, as well as musicians of outstanding class such as Marco Torri on guitars, Claudio Rogai on bass and Matteo Panichi on drums.
This album is a Glam / Hard Rock big shot that harks back to the glories of the eighties as clearly stated by the high-impact opener LOVE UNDER FIRE followed by I'M NOT YOUR ENEMY, a more Rock track with a cadenced rhythm and a stunning refrain, carved in mind from the first listening. More catchy rhythm for BULLETS FOR YOU, a track that has all the necessary features to make a true rock heart fall in love. In REQUIEM and SCREAM & SHOUT Jacopo's performance is flawless as indeed in the semi-ballad LIFE'S TOO SHORT TO FEEL OLD, where everything becomes even more suggestive; GAME OVER, enthralling and really well written, has instead the merit of bringing to mind bands such as Twisted Sister. The final part of Love in stereo begins with CRY FOR LOVE and KISS MY ASS slower tracks that involve and keep glued to the stereo as only the most famous bands can do and ends with STRANGER TO YOUR TOUCH, a song that couldn't be more rock.
Damn Freaks’ second work must be absolutely prey to those who, like me, madly love the real Rock, a really well-done album able to involve the listener from the first listen and to last over time among fans of the genre.

Vede la luce nel 2020 Love in Stereo, secondo full-length dei rocker fiorentini Damn Freaks, band che annovera tra le sue file Jacopo Meille, voce dei Tygers of Pan Tang, oltre che musicisti di spiccata classe come Marco Torri alla chitarra, Claudio Rogai al basso e Matteo Panichi alla batteria.
Il disco è una fucilata Glam/Hard Rock che si rifà ai fasti degli eighties come dimostra l’opener di forte impatto LOVE UNDER FIRE seguita da I’M NOT YOUR ENEMY, pezzo più Rock avente un ritmo cadenzato ed un refrain da sballo, memorizzabile sin dal primo ascolto. Più catchy è invece BULLETS FOR YOU, traccia che possiede tutte le caratteristiche necessarie a far innamorare un vero cuore rock. In REQUIEM e SCREAM & SHOUT la performance di Jacopo è impeccabile come d’altronde nella quasi ballad LIFE'S TOO SHORT TO FEEL OLD, dove il tutto diventa ancora più suggestivo; GAME OVER, trascinante e ben scritta, ha invece il merito di far tornare alla mente band del calibro di Twisted Sister. La parte finale di Love in stereo ha inizio con CRY FOR LOVE e KISS MY ASS tracce più lente che coinvolgono e tengono incollati allo stereo come solo le più blasonate band riescono a fare, e si chiude con un pezzo che più rock non si poteva STRANGER TO YOUR TOUCH.
Il secondo lavoro dei Damn Freaks deve essere assolutamente preda di chi come me ama alla follia il vero Rock, un disco davvero ben fatto ed in grado di coinvolgere l’ascoltatore sin dal primo ascolto e di durare nel tempo tra gli appassionati del genere.
